How to Access Library Resources from Off-Campus: About

Exciting news! Off Campus Access is automatic.

Off campus access button on library pageIf you are off campus and accessing ORU databases, you will automatically be prompted to log in with your Single-Sign on (SS). Once logged in, you have off campus access to all the Library's databases.

So, since it is no longer necessary to use the "Off Campus Access" button on the Library's web page (see image), the button will be removed in the near future.

Off Campus Login

As part of the ORU community you have an electronic library that is available 24/7. Many ORU databases, including full-text articles, journals and ebooks, are fee-based resources and, as such, are generally restricted to ORU students, faculty and staff.

Online resources also include a variety of unique and useful user-friendly information management tools that allow you to save items, write notes, highlight, get citations, use text-to-speech functions, create web links and more.

Login for off-campus access:

  • When accessing a Library database, when prompted, simply sign in with your ORU Network login or Single Sign-On (SSO). Once logged in, you have off campus access to all the Library's databases.

Or

  • If you prefer to log in on the ORU Library page  <https://oru.libguides.com/library>, click Off-Campus Access under Services (shown below) and sign in with your Network login or SSO in the pop-up window.
