The J. D. McKean Library is on track to open in the Summer of 2023. The foundation was poured earlier this summer, and the "Topping Out Ceremony" was celebrated on  July 22, when the final beam was placed at the very top of the building.

While work continues on the new building, the library staff and faculty are working hard to plan for moving library resources into the new building. The plans for this building show many beautiful and spacious study areas, filled with natural light. Emerging technologies will be available to students for hands-on learning.

The library team believes that our students will be very pleased with this beautiful new learning space.

American flag and the traditional tree atop the structure signify the final beam has been placed.
The tradition of placing an evergreen tree atop the final beam dates back many centuries and signifies honor to the builders for successfully raising the frame of a new building.
