Teaching Librarians do not need to do anything with rubrics.
Information on this page is not needed for teaching LIBBI sessions, but is provided as a convenience for those interested in reviewing the General Education Information Literacy rubrics for Composition 102. GEN-2-C-4, -C-5, -C-6, -C-7 are used for the LIBBIs; GEN-2-C-1, -C-2, -C-3 are used for the Composition 102 research paper/documented essay.

GEN-2-C-1 Ability to identify, select and access a variety of appropriate information sources (COMP Paper)
Demonstrates ability to identify, access, and differentiate between a variety of sources, such as primary and secondary, popular and scholarly, books and periodicals, and print or electronic to support a clear and focused thesis statement

GEN-2-C-2 Ability to categorize and integrate the information (COMP Paper)
Demonstrates ability to categorize and integrate information such as organizing information in a logical and useful manner, synthesizing ideas and concepts, and integrating new information in body of knowledge

GEN-2-C-3 Ability to use information ethically (COMP Paper)
Paraphrases, summarizes, and quotes sources correctly to avoid plagiarism; integrates sources fully and appropriately
