Older print and microform indexes may be appropriate to use for some topics and/or to locate older dissertations.

Comprehensive Dissertation Index
The Comprehensive Dissertation Index is a multi-volume print index to every North American doctoral dissertations, 1861-1990. The indexes are shelved on the 5th floor of the library, call number Z5053.C64.

Choose the index that covers your subject. For example, if you are looking for older education dissertations, see volumes 20-24, the "Education" section.
