We welcome a new resource to the ORU Library: ACADEMIC VIDEOS ONLINE (a ProQuest/Alexander Street streaming video database)

Academic Videos Online ("AVON") is curated for the academic experience.  These streaming videos offer great depth of content housed in formats such as documentaries, films, demonstrations, counseling sessions, training, speeches, animation, performances, newsreels, biographies, 360VR, and more.

Authorized ORU users can benefit from information covering a myriad of subject areas:  business, counseling, health, music, history, sciences, film, theatre, dance, international relations, politics, sports, children, education, family, etc.  Included in our subscription is Counseling & Therapy in Video (volumes I-V).  While videos are predominately in English, there are videos offered in Dutch, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Farsi, and a host of other languages.

 Faculty can embed entire videos or clips from the videos into D2L or show them in their classes. 
Also available is the ability to cite the video in APA, MLA, Chicago or copy/paste the full citation. 
Full transcripts are included for accessibility and quoting directly from the content.
