About Reserves

CirculationThe Reserve collection consists of books, audiovisuals, tests, short articles, and other items placed on reserve for student use in conjunction with courses offered at ORU.

Students request items by giving the name of their professor and the name of the item they wish to check out. Items on Reserve can be searched in the ORU Library online catalog byopens new window professor name or the opens new windowtitle of the item.

The Reserve collection is located behind the One-Stop Library Services Desk on the fourth floor of the Learning Resources Center.

Reserves is located on the fourth floor of the Learning Resources Center, at the One-Stop Library Services Desk.

The Reserve collection consists of library-owned books, personal copies owned by faculty members, tests, and short articles placed on reserve for student use in conjunction with specific courses offered at ORU.

  • Reserve materials may be checked out with a valid ORU ID for a limited period (from 1 hour to 3 days, as determined by the instructor).
  • Some reserve materials are designated for in-library use only.
  • Reserve items may not be renewed, and must be returned to the One-Stop Library Services Desk.
